I didn't really see the need. Nonetheless, I've just taken a look at the Porting Guide and it doesn't look too bad. I'll investigate the idea further when I get some free time.

any plans to port to Qt5?

Xavion commented on 2016-08-26 04:24

The PKGBUILD is fine: SourceForge went down for a while. It's working again now.

Bitl0rd commented on 2016-08-26 02:41

please update pkgbuild, link dead

As I'm not using the [testing] repository, my filesystem doesn't have that layout yet. You will need to be specific about why my workaround hasn't fixed the problem.

I moved the "Quamachi.sh" script from "/usr/sbin/" to "/usr/bin/". I also added an optional symlink in "/usr/sbin/" for anyone who's not using the [testing] repository.

sl1pkn07 commented on 2013-06-01 08:30

/usr/sbin point to /usr/bin (simbolic link)

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 may 31 20:40 /sbin -> usr/bin
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 may 31 20:40 /usr/sbin -> bin

you workground don't work

Xavion commented on 2013-06-01 02:00

Thanks for letting me know; I've added a workaround.

sl1pkn07 commented on 2013-05-31 10:51

Xavion commented on 2012-12-20 07:35

I have changed the URL as requested.

Xavion commented on 2012-12-18 09:41

Before I do, where does it state on the ArchWiki that third-party URL redirections are frowned upon?

keenerd commented on 2012-12-17 17:35

Please change the url to
http://code.google.com/p/quamachi/

Xavion commented on 2011-05-09 05:26

Thanks for the notification; I've updated the PKGBUILD.

python-qt was replaced by pyqt now.

Quamachi v0.5.5 will try to reconnect every 15 seconds, unless the user disconnected manually. If the reconnecting process is struggling, Quamachi will disconnect and attempt to reconnect (again).

If you think it's behaving differently to this, switch on 'verbose' mode (Option --> Verbose) beforehand and email me the log file (Action --> Review ...). In any event, Hamachi is usually to blame for connection problems.

I have problem with connection lost. KeepAlive doesn't work. Someone had the trick?

Xavion commented on 2011-01-22 11:12

GTK+ based DEs can't seem to display Qt menu icons right now. If you're running the latest Quamachi in KDE, there shouldn't be an icon problem.

Xavion commented on 2011-01-22 09:24

As mentioned below, this problem surfaced because the newer releases of Qt are stricter when calling upon icons stored in resource files. It was fixed in Quamachi v0.5.0. After upgrading to the latest release, let me know if the problem still occurs at your end.

I find that there's no icons in the program GUI, wondering if the problem fixed?

Xavion commented on 2011-01-20 22:29

It does that because you don't have a VNC program installed. This problem can be overcome by installing the 'tightvnc' package.

Anonymous comment on 2011-01-20 16:46

Every time I run Quamachi, it will evoke the browser with link http://www.tightvnc.com/
Why?

Xavion commented on 2010-12-28 21:31

It looks like you didn't bother to read the description of the "pyqt-dev" package. It's certainly not an entire development environment.

It's simply the latest 'development' snapshot of the PyQt bindings for Python v3. These are not yet available in the 'extra' repository.

Anonymous comment on 2010-12-28 08:45

Is there a reason that an entire dev environment (pyqt-dev) needs to be setup to install this? Between haguichi and this, both require some sort of inconvenient, unuseful extras...

Xavion commented on 2010-11-12 06:22

This problem has surfaced because the newer releases of Qt are stricter when calling upon icons stored in resource files. I have committed a fix to the SVN repository and the next version of Quamachi will be released in the coming weeks.

shadowed87 commented on 2010-11-10 16:08

actually i have no icons in the whole program...

shadowed87 commented on 2010-11-10 15:28

why the system tray icon is missing?

Xavion commented on 2010-10-20 07:01

Thanks for the suggestion; I've updated the PKGBUILD.

kfgz commented on 2010-10-19 17:06

You must edit PKGBUILD for python2 compatibility. Change

depends=("python>=2.5" "qt>=4.4.1" "pyqt>=4.4.3" "logmein-hamachi>=2" "grep>=2.5" "bash>=3" "which>=2")

to

depends=("python2" "qt>=4.4.1" "pyqt>=4.4.3" "logmein-hamachi>=2" "grep>=2.5" "bash>=3" "which>=2")

and patch /usr/share/Quamachi/Source/Quamachi.pyw

sed -i 's/env python/env python2/g' ${pkgdir}/usr/share/Quamachi/Source/Quamachi.pyw

It wasn't a compilation error; the integrity checksum was missing. Thanks for the notification; I've updated the PKGBUILD.

error compiling this package

Xavion commented on 2010-05-01 07:29

Since I'm the author of this application, I will always want this package to remain in the AUR.
