Heads up, the Quartus installation likes to add the following line to at least .profile, .zprofile, and .zshrc: export QSYS_ROOTDIR="<pkgbuild clone dir>/quartus-free/pkg/quartus-free-quartus/opt/intelFPGA/25.1/quartus/sopc_builder/bin". I'm not familiar with the details of sandboxing in PKGBUILDs, but could this be intercepted somehow? If nothing else, it's unusual and annoying for building a package to cause edits outside of its build directory.

Oh, yeah, last I checked, regular fontconfig is no longer causing the core dump. Quartus is working normally for me now

font config fix for core dump did not work, I fixed it by forcing qt to run in x with QT_QPA_PLATFORM= quartus

Anyone else getting core dumps? I am on the same version of font config as cxt100s but I am still getting core dumps in the main quartus application.

please add QuartusProgrammerSetup and RiscFreeSetup as comparts of quartus and update to 23.1.1.993

Do you reckon it's a bad idea to use fontconfig-ubuntu instead?

I was also getting the aborted (core dumped) crash. It seems like fontconfig and/or lib32-fontconfig updates on 19 Jan caused this (since when I set /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist to Server=https://archive.archlinux.org/repos/2025/01/18/$repo/os/$arch and downgraded just fontconfig and lib32-fontconfig, the issue was resolved). For now I am holding fontconfig at 2:2.15.0-2 and lib32-fontconfig at 2:2.15.0-1 (I added IgnorePkg = fontconfig and IgnorePkg = lib32-fontconfig to /etc/pacman.conf).

Quartus has stopped working for me yesterday. I try to launch it and it gets aborted (core dump). I have no clue what's causing this.

for somereason download via makepkg is giving corrupt QuartusLiteSetup--- manually downloaded it from intel and put in build dir. working. this has happened in the last 2 days as on Tuesday it worked fine.
