Depending on pandoc-cli is needed for r-reprex because it was depending on pandoc>=2.0, and the version of pandoc-cli is 0.1, which is not the case here. I'd prefer to keep depending on pandoc, because pandoc-bin has not added pandoc-cli in provides yet.

@japhir thanks for the heads up, this package now depends on pandoc-cli.

japhir commented on 2023-02-08 08:33 (UTC)

Upstream pandoc package has been split into two packages haskell-pandoc and pandoc-cli, where haskell-pandoc follows the original pandoc version while pandoc-cli has its own version. pandoc-cli provides pandoc executable and are marked to replace the old pandoc package. Please update the PKGBUILD. (I've copied this comment from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/r-reprex @gnaggnoyil)

Installed without further issues, thank you very much!

That's fixed now. The issue was that r-httpuv and r-websocket both checkdepended on each other, creating a semi-cyclical dependency. I removed check from r-websocket which should fix the problem. Thanks for reporting.

During installation there's a missing subdependency:

> yay -S r-rmarkdown
# [...]
==> Making package: r-websocket 1.4.1-2 (nie, 8 sty 2023, 19:53:27)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Missing dependencies:
  -> r-httpuv
==> ERROR: Could not resolve all dependencies.
 -> error making: r-websocket

Although, I only now realised, it's on Manjaro so maybe on Arch there's no issue...?
