@npfeiler: Oops, my bad, tarball extension was missing. Fixed in 7ad3d66f61f6.

The git clone was named the same way as the current download is (radeontop-1.0) which results in radeontop-1.0 ... NOT FOUND ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! when used with the same folder as before. (sure you can delete it, although the error doesn’t really tell you what’s going on)

@delusional: I don't remember why I switched to Git source. Fixed in e071510cfcd9, thank.

It'd be great if you could add git as a makedepend, since you are using a git source. Thank you.

@DarkShadow44: Good new, thank for the feedback.

@Xorg Thank you very much, it works now.

@DarkShadow44: I'm very sorry, I forgot to do that.
I have added the 'export' keyword (it's a bit strange, it was working for me), and after looking the Makefile, it seems the useless rebuild is due to version.h regeneration on each 'make' invocation.
It's fixed, sorry for the delay.

Any update on this?

@Xorg I found the issue.
The "build" function isn't needed, for some reason the "package" function also compiles the program. So the setting needs to be set there too, or it won't work.
Although that seems like odd behavior, "make install" shouldn't recompile the program.

Could you look into that, and add "amdgpu=1" to the "make install", too?

DarkShadow44 commented on 2017-05-05 21:57

@Xorg Thanks for the quick reply. I got it to work when compiling by hand, but the PKGBUILD still doesn't work properly.

> export amdgpu=1 && make
After that change it works. But not without export, although I can't explain why.
