As others have written, this is unfortunately the last OSS version of Rambox.
OSS alternatives:

Ferdium has very active development. It's based on Franz which is was stable fork of the open source version of Franz.
Hamsket is based on an older version of Rambox OSS.

Why the License is MIT instead of GPL V3 ?

I don't get sound in rambox for now. For example "New Message" sound doesn't play, also WhatsApp voice messages don't make sound. With Franz (similar messenger) it works. Also my aur/gstreamer0.10-bad doesn't build. Is this linked to my problem? Or how to fix it?

Thanks for reporting, source url is now fixed. It has been changed on github by the author. The one in the PKGBUILD used to be correct.

x64 tarball URL is now changed to https://github.com/saenzramiro/rambox/releases/download/0.5.2/Rambox-0.5.2-x64.tar.gz

https://github.com/saenzramiro/rambox/releases/download/0.5.2/Rambox-0.5.2-x64.tar.gz and I thinks thats the x86_64 file we need? The link above is dead.

x86_64 source url is wrong (404), should be https://github.com/saenzramiro/rambox/releases/download/0.5.2/Rambox-0.5.2-x64.tar.gz source_x86_64=("https://github.com/saenzramiro/rambox/releases/download/$pkgver/rambox-$pkgver-x64.tar.gz")

The latest update 0.5.1 does finally fix the annoying "certification warning" bug in 0.4.5. Unfortunately after upgrading rambox might not start anymore, see https://github.com/saenzramiro/rambox/issues/606 This will probably not occur to everyone but it still might be a good idea to wait a few more hours or days before upgrading. If you don't care about loosing your settings and services just remove the profile folder ~/.config/Rambox EDIT: The lost-settings problem should be fixes starting with 0.5.3

Thanks @Agravain for reporting this bug. I fixed the package. It should now use the correct path for i686/ia32. Welcome to AUR :)

Hi. This is my first report on AUR. I just registered to send this error on building rambox-bin. I hope I explain it clear and can be helpfull. I've tried installing it using yaourt. In my x86_64 computer it worked flawlessly, but on my i686 it failed with the following error after downloading the source: ==> Extracció de codi font ... -> S'està extraient rambox-0.4.4-ia32.tar.gz amb bsdtar ==> Entrant a l'entorn fakeroot ... ==> Iniciant package()... cp: ha fallat stat() sobre '/tmp/yaourt-tmp-username/aur-rambox-bin/src/Rambox-0.4.4/*': El fitxer o directori no existeix ==> ERROR: S'ha produït un error a package(). S'està cancel·lant... ==> ERROR:El Makepkg no ha pogut compilar rambox-bin. ==> S'ha de reiniciar la compilació de rambox-bin?[s/N] It's catalan, but the error says that the file or directory does not exit. Then i checked the folder (/tmp/yaourt-tmp-username/aur-rambox-bin/src), and I found the following on it: [username@localhost src]$ ls Rambox-0.4.4-ia32 rambox.desktop rambox.sh rambox-0.4.4-ia32.tar.gz rambox.png (Rambox-0.4.4-ia32 being a folder) So there's no folder matching "Rambox-0.4.4/*" inside. I just renamed it and then it worked as expected: [username@hostname src]$ sudo mv Rambox-0.4.4-ia32 Rambox-0.4.4 I hope it helps.
