Maybe you change provides=("${pkgname%-*}") to provides=("rapid-photo-downloader=${pkgver}")?

@jonathanleslie That sounds more like a window manager issue that you're using? Tried it with i3-wm and fluxbox, works fine.

As for that other issue, run it with rapid-photo-downloader --debug and see if it shows something? Also, check these two for more info: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rapid & https://discuss.pixls.us/c/software/rapid-photo-downloader

thanks for your hardwork

jonathanleslie commented on 2018-04-01 08:00 (UTC)

@metak sorry, by the time you replied i must have already got it through, didn't quite remember how it went though, anyway am going to try and install it again.

metak commented on 2017-10-22 15:43 (UTC)

@jonathanleslie I can't reproduce that error. Does it help if ou change the source line to this? source=('rapid::bzr+https://code.launchpad.net/~dlynch3/rapid/zeromq_pyqt')

hello there, i got this message while compiling, -> Creating working copy of rapid bzr repo... bzr: ERROR: Not a branch: "/home/jonathanleslie/Downloads/rapid-photo-downloader-bzr/rapid/.bzr/branch/": location is a repository. ==> ERROR: Failure while creating working copy of rapid bzr repo Aborting... how to fix it?

fabertawe commented on 2017-07-24 15:55 (UTC)

I'm unable to proceed past - ==> Retrieving sources... -> Branching lp:rapid... Where one core of my CPU sits at 100% and that's it. Any ideas? Thanks.

metak commented on 2017-07-22 15:25 (UTC)

@PureW If you're not using an aur helper like pacaur, then you have to manualy clone and build those dependecies from aur. Pacman can't install them for you (makepkg -s) since they're not in official repos.
