Thanks, It works again using the unrar binary.

@Vaporeon, I think I've fixed the issue.

Please, try again and let me know if the problem persists.

Thank you!

The unrar>rar symlink breaks the GUI tool Ark. I assume it is looking for the UNRAR text only the unrar binary outputs. It might just be better to return to only providing 'rar' and leaving unrar to the upstream package.

@MagicAndWires, done. I thought about it, but I didn't do it in the end.

I hope everything is fine now. ;-)

Could you please add unrar to provides?

Musikolo commented on 2018-10-02 03:39

Upgraded to version 5.6.1.

It now conflicts with unrar package (not needed if you have rar installed). This is required for some UI tools to support RAR format.

@hobbledhoy899 - kinda makes you wonder why the upstream package even includes an unrar binary when they could just include a symlink for unrar -> rar.

@vorbote UnRAR is not necessary if you have the main RAR program installed; the main RAR program can both create and extract Roshal Archives, while UnRAR can only extract Roshal Archives.
