i'm only using ubuntu nowadays (and raspbian).. as to why, that's a more complicated story. i guess mainly due to the job (where they used ubuntu server on all the machines, we're administrating) and partially because Ubuntu on a Notebook just works more out-of-the-box than Arch does, and while I loved to do it the Arch, and before that, even the Gentoo way; i don't have the time anymore to fiddle with stuff that much.
