rdfind-1.5.0-1 is still having the error:

gpg: keyserver receive failed: Server indicated a failure

krutoileshii commented on 2021-10-24 17:03 (UTC)

solved. something got screwed up with resolve.conf

ln -sf /run/systemd/resolve/stub-resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

Getting key server receive failed: server indicated a failure.

Can confirm importing the key manually works, the package needs to be fixed.

maderios commented on 2021-08-26 19:46 (UTC)

It works

gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys CC3C51BA88205B19728A6F07C9D9A0EA44EAE0EB`

1.5.0 suffers from the same issue:

Thank you so much... combination between these posts worked for me:

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/rdfind.git
$ cd rdfind/
$ gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --search-keys 5C4A26CD4CC8C397
prompt ('Keys 1-1 of 1 for "5C4A26CD4CC8C397". Enter number(s), N)ext, or Q)uit >')
I entered '1'
$ makepkg -si

I'm sorry I might have missed the point of magotubo... but anyways thank you... was feeling anxious about Arch...

gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 5C4A26CD4CC8C397

use --recv-keys instead of --search-keys

Please trigger a rebuild of this package, I had to rebuild as I received the following error when I went to execute rdfind:

rdfind: error while loading shared libraries: libnettle.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Since --keyserver option of gpg is deprecated, I used dirmngr as recommended in 'man gpg':

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/rdfind.git
$ cd rdfind/
$ dirmngr --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com
$ gpg --search-keys 5C4A26CD4CC8C397 # in the command
prompt ('Keys 1-1 of 1 for "5C4A26CD4CC8C397".  Enter number(s), N)ext, or Q)uit >') I entered '1'
$ makepkg -si

@Dan92, see the upstream page. It seems that is only available at the ubuntu keyservers. So

gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --search-keys 5C4A26CD4CC8C397

should work to retrieve the key. :)
