I found will generate the similar result with realtimeconfigquickscan-hg.
When I use 'yaourt' to upgrade this package, it will generate version as 22.
So, I think this is duplicate with -hg version.

I uploaded realtimeconfigquickscan-hg: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=50058
This way AUR helpers won't tell you anymore there's an up to date package.

Well thinking about it, the pkgver usually gets updated when the source is subversion/git etc, so I guess mercurial is the same. The hg revision is 18 at the moment so the pkgver in PKGBUILD should reflect this, or at least a version based on the hg revision rather than the date.

Hope that makes sense ;)

I get the same issue with both packer and yaourt. Check this output : http://pastebin.com/T0MqH7FB. Note line 2, line 47 and line 62. I'm not really sure why this happens either.
Cheers!

I think the bug is in the aur helper? Because the PKGBUILD has pkgver=20110211 ... strange...

Hello! There's something strange going on with the version numbers because AUR/PKGBUILD says "20110211-1" and pacman thinks "18-1" is installed. This means that it always appears out of date to AUR helpers.
