For version 8, RealVNC has combined viewer and server into one application. Hence, I have created a separate package for this version: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/realvnc-rvnc-connect. Feel free to join me in maintaining over there.

When trying to install from yay, I get:

curl: (56) The requested URL returned error: 405
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://downloads.realvnc.com/download/file/vnc.files/VNC-Server-7.10.0-Linux-x64.deb
    Aborting...

The file seems to be behind a captcha, and solving the captcha doesn't help later at the command-line.

Running vncserver-x11-serviced -fg as root returns

vncserverui-statusicon[1660]: StatusIconCoprocess: Stopping with error: [DynamicFnLoadFailed] Function gtk_init not found in gtk-x11-2.0[0] library.

This causes issues with the system tray icon if gtk2 is not installed.

Please include gtk2 as a dependency.

I am going to update this package on a less frequent basis going forward, I leave it to ava1ar to package it or invite more co-maintainers.
