When I was setting up relax-and-recover I had to install the following packages to get it to work. Not sure if these are specific to my install or if they should be put in the dependencies.

After your update of the "PKGBUILD" the "rear -v mkrescue" is runnig normal without errors. I have to test the rear -v mkbakup".

since 20.01.2021 I can't run "rear -v mkrescue".
