Git Clone URL: https://aur.archlinux.org/remarkable-client.git (read-only, click to copy)
Package Base: remarkable-client
Description: This is a Linux version of the reMarkable Desktop Client. As far as I know, the development has been discontinued, but it still works. Adding files is as simple as dragging them onto the window.

I managed to get this package built. I had to manually download the file from the Google Drive link, and manually build the package. This build, apparently dating back to 2017 according to the 'about' menu item, does not work with my new Remarkable 2 tablet from January 2022, version 2.11.0.442.

Does anyone has the Validating source files with sha256sums... command ?

It seems like makepkg has problems downloading the remarkable-linux-client.deb file, after running makepkg, remarkable-linux-client.deb is only 4.0K and contains only [https://paste.xinu.at/Rp56V/plain] (see [https://paste.xinu.at/Rp56V] for the rendered html). So it seems like it gets confused by some virus warning system...

I can confirm that if I download remarkable-linux-client.deb manually the sha256sum still matches.

So some other mirror might be needed.

I checked the sha256sum of of the .deb file that is referenced at https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1x_KhRp0_qufjnOO-pyDM1MAhRjeQeJTK it is still the same as shown in the PKGBUILD. Can you show me the exact error?

R0Pzombie commented on 2021-08-04 14:00 (UTC)

The sha256 is broken, so you can't build the package from the .deb file anymore. Would be nice to fix this.

Hi, thanks for this package! I have an issue with the annotations I make with the table, they don't show up in the application. Did you manage to fix this?

I found a working download from: https://remarkablewiki.com/tips/client?s[]=linux It might be a slightly different program, but I hope it works again now.

The file is no longer available on the server, does anyone have a copy? Thanks!

On KDE, I get it run with

QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=gtk3 reMarkable

The FileDialog "works" this way but then there is another error on import:

qrc:/FileImportDialog.qml:20: Error: Insufficient arguments
