You are correct, but like I said the betas are as stable as the official release you maintain, just with a few new features. On the rare occasion that I do run into a issue I go straight to Hans forum and post there.

@Locutus64 Another AUR maintainer? As far as I know, there is only 3 packages on AUR for renamemytvseries, which I'm the maintainer of. This is the stable one, the other two (QT/GTK-versions) are still in beta.

Locutus64 commented on 2022-01-07 18:15 (UTC)

I'm actually running the current beta done by another AUR maintainer. It has a few more features that the stable build, but is just as stable because the creator makes sure of it.

@Locutus64 Made some changes to the PKGBUILD itself, it shouldn't trigger an update though? But as you said, there is no update of the application itself :)

Locutus64 commented on 2021-12-29 12:38 (UTC)

I commented cause the was a update notice pushed out from here yesterday.

zynex commented on 2021-12-29 08:18 (UTC)

There isn't, last release is from a couple of years ago.

Was just on Hans download page and I didn't see that he pushed a new update.

Just tried both and the qt version is up and running without issue. I could not tell if the the other was yours or the one I was running from it's folder. Thanks

There are two new builds, one for the QT and one for the GTK version. If you search for renamemytvseries you will find them.

DoctorBoneSaw commented on 2021-09-23 14:21 (UTC)

Are you going to update this AUR to reflect the new builds or are you starting new ones for them? if new ones can you please link to them? Thanks

zynex commented on 2021-09-23 14:12 (UTC)

The latest stable is this one (2.0.10), the two others I just added are the latest betas (2.1.6), and is now available for those who wanna test them.

GREAT to hear, so will this be the latest beta or the latest stable? Might want to brainstorm with Han's. I'm willing to bet he'd be more than happy to help.

I'm about to create packages for QT/GTK, having some issues with the desktop file hiding it in the menu. But it's on it way :)

DoctorBoneSaw commented on 2021-09-06 16:35 (UTC)

Was wonder if you could update this to the latest static beta and maybe rename you repository to reflect the actual version better? Maybe something like RenameMyTvSeriesGTK-static or simular. Below is the name of the current beta that seems to work best on Arch based distros. Thanks

@MediaMogul - I have thought about it, but think I will keep this as a "stable" release. Might add a different beta PKGBUILD instead, think it's better. Although, it was a while since the latest update. Also, now there is different releases for qt and gtk.

MediaMogul commented on 2021-03-05 14:31 (UTC)

Have you considered updating this to the latest beta?

zynex commented on 2019-12-27 12:34 (UTC) (edited on 2019-12-27 12:47 (UTC) by zynex)

Ah, got it :) Unfortunately I can't roll back the update. The developer only link to the latest binary. I can see if he still got v2.0.6 backed up so I can link to that until the bug is fixed.

[EDIT] I looked at you post at Manjaro, it seems that you can't start the program at all? I just tried it here, and it start and seems to working without an issue for me (haven't tried renaming anything yet thou). You can try renaming (or moving) ~/.config/Rename My TV Series to something else and try launch the program. It might be a database error.

i did, i was thanking zynex for helping me narrow down a bit further what's going on. if possible you may actually want to roll this back to 2.0.6 since it does work.

If there's a bug, contact the developer at https://www.tweaking4all.com/home-theatre/rename-my-tv-series-v2. He's very helpful when there's a problem :)

GraveDigger commented on 2019-12-27 12:12 (UTC)

thanks for the update much appreciated cause it helped prove there is something wrong with 2.0.10.

zynex commented on 2019-12-27 11:48 (UTC)

I will fix it soon. In the meanwhile, you can always just install the package again, as the source file always point to the latest binary release.

GraveDigger commented on 2019-12-26 15:05 (UTC)

any eta on 2.0.10? thanks
