There's a typo in the repacman script that can cause pacman to report dependency errors when trying to install the package created with repacman.

line 52:
%PROVIDES%) pkginfo_var='provide';;
should be
%PROVIDES%) pkginfo_var='provides';;

The repacman repack package to .tar.gz... the correct is .tar.xz
and... repack various packages in some command line:
e.g.: repacman thunar pcmanfm compiz... etc.

and repack dependencies too, is a great idea :).
