Replicatorg do write to my $HOME/.replicatorg

I just installed the package and run it with sudo ... and it started to generate a lot of .hex files on the /root/.replicatorg/firmware folder.
After that I had no permission issues.
It seems that the permission wasn't to access its /opt/ folder, but the /root/ no?
Anyways, this seems to be supposed to happen in our $HOME no?

the examples can be loaded if the program is run by root. in a mac forum, someone said the program will write something in the installed dir. although i copied the program in my home dir, it doesnot work as a normal user. i also got some errors "check_group_uucp(): error testing lock file creation Error details:Permission deniedcheck_lock_status: No permission to create lock file.
please see: How can I use Lock Files with rxtx? in INSTALL"
when the program run by normail user.

What does ls -la /opt/replicatorg/examples/ tell you? Maybe you have to run as root once, it will write some firmware to the dir.

I don't quite see why it won't work for you, it works here. If you can fix it I will have a look.

ReplicatorG can not write to the directory /opt/replicatorg.
You may be running ReplicatorG from an archive or other read-only directory.
Please quit ReplicatorG and extract it to a writeable localtion, then start again.
