Ah, it seems the error is in restics git repository in doc/PKGBUILD.
I reported the issue upstream.

The build seems broken:
==> Extracting sources...
-> Creating working copy of restic git repo...
Cloning into 'restic-git'...
done.
==> Starting pkgver()...
==> Updated version: restic-git v0.5.0.r218.g089b04c8-1
==> Starting build()...
==> Entering fakeroot environment...
==> Starting package()...
install: cannot stat 'restic-git/README.md': No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
Aborting...
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build restic-git.
==> Restart building restic-git ? [y/N]
There is not README.md, just a README.rst.
Please change 'go>=1.3' to 'go' as it creates conflicts when "go-pie" is installed (anyway versioned deps doesn't make sense in arch). Even better change it to 'go-pie' which arch migrates to https://www.archlinux.org/todo/go-pie-rebuild/
