@Tamriel: please add StartupWMClass=retext to desktop file, and change url to https://github.com/retext-project/retext in PKGBUILD

Looks like it moved to https://github.com/retext-project/retext Compiles fine with "$pkgname::git://github.com/retext-project/retext.git" For some reason something makes makepkg to try modprobing some stuff, not sure if that is good.
