Dependency is back again:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python2-crack/

We should be good to go for compiling revelation again.

Sorry for the trouble,
Sincerely,

Flesh commented on 2015-08-17 17:31

Dependency python2-crack does not seem to be in AUR any longer, nor is it in packages.

Thanks, chdorb. Don't know how I missed that.

Please split your build() fonction into build() and package() fonctions.

Is it necessary to have gnome-python as a dependency? It installs a lot that isnt needed.

http://revelation.olasagasti.info/developers.php

this url shows the only dependencies should be
Gtk+ 2.8 , GLib 2.16 , Python 2.3 , PyGTK+ 2.8 , dbus

Im new to the AUR, but seems this pkgbuild could use some updates.

$ makepkg
==> Missing dependencies:
-> intltool
==> ERROR: Could not resolve all dependencies.

$ makepkg -s
error: target not found: python2-crack
==> ERROR: 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies.

Trying to build revelation. It fails at:

Running autoreconf...
acinclude.m4:19: warning: macro 'AM_GCONF_SOURCE_2' not found in library
configure:6423: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_GCONF_SOURCE_2
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
See the Autoconf documentation.
autoreconf: /usr/bin/autoconf failed with exit status: 1

Still trying to figure out how to fix this.. So far I haven't succeeded. Anyone maybe have a hint, or noticed this yet?

Fixed. Thanks for the report!

It is not "dbus-python" anymore, but "python2-dbus".
512:~ $ packer -S revelation
Dependency `dbus-python' of `revelation' does not exist.
513:~ $

0.4.14-2: Move patching into the new prepare() function.

tchebb commented on 2012-05-25 08:26

Added dbus-python dependency (thanks to Spider.007).

Spider.007 commented on 2012-05-25 08:16

This package has an unlisted dependency on dbus-python

yorickpeterse commented on 2012-03-24 19:25

pkg-config should be added as a dependency in the PKGBUILD, without this package building Revelation will fail.

FYI: I have created http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=51675 containing the latest version, fixing the gnomeapplet error

just want to add a link: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=929917

@eKoeS thanks!

New issue:

makepkg
{...}
checking python module gnomeapplet... no
configure: error: failed to find module gnomeapplet

gnome-applets is installed.

eKoeS commented on 2011-07-21 19:20

@Kev: insert the following before "make":

`sed -i -e 's/\-\-export\-dynamic/\-rdynamic/g' src/wrap/crack/Makefile`

There you go!

Kev commented on 2011-04-18 08:21

Doesn't work with GCC 4.6 anymore:

gcc -Wl --export-dynamic -pthread -shared crack.o -lcrack -o crack.so
gcc: error: unrecognized option ‘--export-dynamic’
make[3]: *** [crack.so] Error 1
