I had the same problem with "Error: 32 write: Broken pipe" with this version here on the AUR. So i tried the older Version on github (https://github.com/sebastien/revoco). I cloned it, build it with "make -si" instead of makepkg -si before and it worked.

So step by step how it worked for me:

- cd ~
- git clone https://github.com/sebastien/revoco.git
- cd revoco
- make -si
- sudo ./revoco auto=10

"auto=10" means it switches to free spinning mode after a scrollig-speed of "10". Another Option would be e.g. "./revoco free" for always free spinning. See "./revoco --help" for more options.
Of course e.g. autostart isn't enabled for now, but thats another story :)
