Thank you for bring that problem to my attention. To fix this I decided to remove the relinking of the packaged runtime.

Take a look at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/RIDER-75057. It seems the relinking of the packaged runtime to the system runtime breaks some functionality.

Tagging RIDER-75258 here, could you fix the PKGBUILD to apply?

Small improvement hint:

"pkgdesc='A cross-platform C# IDE by JetBrains.'" should be changed to "pkgdesc='A cross-platform .NET IDE by JetBrains.'", as Rider supports all three major .NET languages (C#, F#, VB)

New EAP build is available. 2021.3 EAP build 213.3714.460 https://www.jetbrains.com/rider/nextversion/

Also why is this PKGBUILD is more complicated then the stable version's by tim.hellhake? I modified that to use the new EAP build, and work side-by-side with the stable version. If any of the maintainers are interested, then I'm happy to send a patch.
