It isn’t a git one, but instead of using the tarball retrieve the corresponding git commit. Using the tarballs could be done.

@zorun: Shouldn't this package be a non-git version (as there is ring-gnome-git)?
There are release tarballs available[1], why are they not used?

@corvinusz there is a contribution page on their web site that links to everything you can need to reach the upstream project:

Messages sending..., sending..., and failure.
Mac and Win clients are talking fine.
ArchLinux (and also Fedora) gnome-clients do not work: I cannot have a messaging.

Is there any public (or not so) bugtracker to interact with devs?

Please make sure that you use the latest version of ring-daemon and libringclient.

Even better: since things are stabilizing a lot, it should soon be time for non -git packages to be brought to community.

@zorun, you might want to consider becoming a TU. ;)

Agreed. It's on my TODO list.

this is starting to really need a binary repo

All ring packages in the AUR have just been updated to beta2. This version is not interoperable with the previous version, and you will need to migrate your existing account on startup.

To upgrade, packages must be installed/upgraded in this order:

- asio-latest
- kashmir
- restbed-latest
- opendht
- pjproject-savoirfairelinux
- ring-daemon
- libringclient
- ring-gnome
