Is it possible to put pandoc as an optional dependency?

Svenstaro commented on 2019-06-25 18:38

Thanks guys for helping to keep AUR clean and consistent!

OK, I have merged changes from former rga package, so this package builds from source now. Use ripgrep-all-bin for binary releases.

Svenstaro commented on 2019-06-25 00:27

Ok, everything merged as agreed on. Now, sadly due to AUR limitations I wasn't able to choose which mergee to choose. So, one of you guys now has to manually replace the contents of this package (which as of this writing is actually the binary release) with the ones in the now-merged rga package: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=rga

Svenstaro commented on 2019-06-25 00:23

Yes, I'll get to it.

phiresky commented on 2019-06-24 22:45

ok. Well so I made ripgrep-all-bin so now we have four packages for the same thing :D You can remove / redirect? rga-bin to ripgrep-all-bin and replace ripgrep with rga.

Svenstaro commented on 2019-06-24 22:35

Oh crap, didn't notice your name! Well, that changes everything. In that case, I'm entirely backpaddling on that suggestion. Instead, I suggest that we have ripgrep-all-bin and ripgrep-all with ripgrep-all-bin providing ripgrep-all and both packages providing rga.

phiresky commented on 2019-06-24 17:22

Well, I am upstream and I call it ripgrep-all :p And ripgrep also has the same naming, the binary and man page are named rg but the project is named ripgrep. But yeah, as long as it has a tag so you can find it by entering ripgrep-all I don't really care. I've created rga-bin.

Svenstaro commented on 2019-06-24 11:32

Make the rga-bin package and give me a shout. I'll merge this there once you've done that.

Also, +1 for renaming ripgrep-all to rga-bin.
