I have solved the problem. It seems that the path for releases has changed. New packagebuild here: http://pastebin.com/zEpSPSBz I've changed version, path (new path is with underscore and AMD64 instead of dash and x64) and MD5SUM. Working as expected, please update!

@BuZZ-dEE Actually I think this is a change that can be made up stream. I'm testing a beta release of our next version, instead of the blank icon when Rocket.Chat is open I now get this: http://imgur.com/a/e95Bd I believe this is what you were looking for. Before you could favorite to your dock and it'd show the icon there. But when you ran it, the open window would always show iconless like your screenshot. So hang tight, we'll have another release soon that will resolve that.

@BuZZ-dEE Can you try with the GNOME default icon set (Adwaita) to see if the problem comes from your icon theme?

@geekgonecrazy I have an icon in the GNOME shell overview, but not in the dock. http://imgur.com/a/bpV75 A fix for a similar problem for Riot. https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=riot-web&id=78b621474c2e1d42f4576d2ca02169afc4617d98

@michaudg I mean, if I install this package, it would be nice to have an application icon, that I see in the GNOME laucher / shell / dock / panel like for every other application also.

@geekgonecrazy Thanks for the information.

@BuZZ-dEE You can use /opt/rocketchat/icon.png. Is it what you mean? An icon file to use with a dock like AWN?

@michaudg First off thanks for maintaining this on Arch. Just started using Arch after a long break, was pleasantly surprised to find you had already done this! :+1: As of today builds are now automated with new releases so expect more frequent updates. There is also a new build out today: 2.0.1. Also be sure to remove the 'v' from the path. For example the new release is: https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat.Electron/releases/download/2.0.1/rocketchat-2.0.1-linux-x64.deb Feel free to reach out to me if you have questions: https://demo.rocket.chat/direct/aaron.ogle

It would be great to have an application icon for the panel / dock / launcher.
