AMD renamed their packages. Additionally, they follow the new convention to put ROCm stuff in /opt/rocm-${ROCVER}:

Until all other ROCm packages in the AUR aren't updated, we have to adjust the hard-coded paths in the bash script.

Maybe you could add me to the list of Co-Maintainers? I've created a version for 3.0.0. Otherwise you could just set pkgver to 3.0.0

pkgver=2.6.0

@rigred Just updated the package, thanks for the tips!

Or even just add that as a comment to the PKGBUILD and SKIP, just helps keep users informed about why things where done.

rigred commented on 2019-05-13 14:57

Honestly, I would just add a message via the .install file that says exactly what you just wrote here telling the user to be aware of this fact and SKIP the checksum.

So just add to .install:

pre_install() {
    echo "Radeon recompiles the same package at random time intervals, and since the build times differ, every build gets a different package checksum.\n
For this reason we have to SKIP the checksum.\n"
}

See for examples: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD#install https://git.archlinux.org/pacman.git/plain/proto/proto.install

@rigred Apparently Radeon recompiles the same package in random time intervals, and since the build times differ, every build gets a different checksum :/ What do you think I should do? Periodically check for new builds or just SKIP the checksum?
