I managed to build it using system jre and fixed the build using a clean chroot:

Please readd back: depends=('java-runtime=8' 'xdg-utils') makedepends=('java-environment=8' 'fontconfig' 'freetype2')

and build it using this export before calling the installer:

export INSTALL4J_JAVA_HOME_OVERRIDE=/usr/lib/jvm/default

This way the bundled jre won't get installed.

btw: search https://www.roomeqwizard.com/changehistory.html for "installer" - it says "Added a Linux installer option to enable OpenGL if waterfall generation produces an error" - So far I couldn't find this option in the installer .sh file to avoid our sed fix.

I noticed that 5.20 includes bundled JRE. The package builds easiest with no java installed at all.

Tested this last night and if there is jre8-openjdk installed the package won't build. Other installed java versions might also cause problems.

It won't build: https://pastebin.com/mFChtggN

Yes I am using version 17

The problem occurring when using previously saved measurements

@blackhole did you try with jre-openjdk? It installs version 17. I'm using this version and didn't notice any problems

blackhole commented on 2022-02-02 15:57 (UTC)

After installing the last version, I see a lot of popup about java exceptions during eq editing. Not really usable.

Tested with java 8 and java 11 after rebuilding package each time

The upstream package doesn't build with jre8-openjdk. I tested that jre-openjdk and jre11-openjdk work.

Based on my testing the dependency should be "java-runtime>8"

Please make the pkg follow Arch java packaging recommendations (wiki) and move files to /usr. Please also add the waterfall crash fix. Then there's still the issues that this pkg can't be build using the installer inside our chroot using fakeroot. Maybe you can find a fix or work with upstream for a solution.

Here's my local attempt to move it to /usr from a few weeks ago: https://pastebin.com/EZ6bKcWy (needs some cleanup)

Thank you @hannut! I've pulled in your changes and added you as a contributor.

Right now there are some errors during package build because the installer can't set the file associations but this shouldn't impact general use.

Hello!

I fixed and updated this for my own use. Since I don't have pernission to push to this repo I pushed it to my personal github account:
