I had to add the roon user to the uucp group for it to be able to use my USB DAC.

Reverted back to root user otherwise Roon cannot mount local or remote disks ...

I would like to know too, but roon app configuration should not be related to general app updates on macOS
jeroendee commented on 2021-05-21 09:34 (UTC)
Fixed through the update!
As for the update policy. On the macOS and Windows Roon app, in [Settings] - [About] - [Core] there is a settings cogwheel. This holds three update policy options.
I'm changing it now to: "Ask before downloading any updates"
But I don't know if this relates to the macOS Roon app or the Core server? I.e. if it will actually set a Roon property on the linux server.

Reinstalling should fix the problem
jeroendee commented on 2021-05-21 07:20 (UTC)
There is this setting to disable it somewhere in the menus. But can't check now, because the server is not able to start ;-)

How did you try to disable auto-update?
jeroendee commented on 2021-05-21 07:13 (UTC)
@blackhole just a FYI, for some reason RoonServer performed the dreaded autoupdate (I thought I disabled this). And now the start.sh is totally empty...

Thanks, just updated the packages for roonserver and roonbridge with the new owner roon in /opt/RoonServer and /opt/RoonBridge
Here testing fine.
