@Manifolds: Thanks for the tip. I fixed the problem by adding

    -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=/usr/bin/gcc-7 \
    -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/usr/bin/g++-7 \

directly after cmake ${srcdir}/${_dir} \.
