Please apply the latest commit coming from PR#105, merged in July 2021 and available in the common Melodic and Noetic branch called 'melodic-devel', to remove the dependency on sipconfig provided only by the legacy python-pyqt5-sip4.

After that, you can make this package use the current python-pyqt5 as dependency instead, which will pull in its own python-pyqt5-sip requirement.

Downstream packages will work fine, or the few ones which haven't been updated yet on AUR will still continue to call for sip4 to be installed in their own dependency array and work that way. There's no need for this bindings package to be stuck and forcing using sip4.

It seems paru AUR helper was not able to validate checksup for sip_path.patch.

Using makepkg worked fine.

'sip_path.path does not pass the validity check'

Just me having this issue?

PyQT5 sip 6 doesn't provide sipconfig (as needed by /opt/ros/noetic/share/python_qt_binding/cmake/sip_configure.py)
