Still no news from the package maintainer. @shoober420 if you want another maintainer to keep an eye on it, I'd be glad to do it.

After testings, i could notice that, while the PKGBUILD and the SRCINFO are correctly displaying 1 for pkgver, it suddenly changes the pkgver to revert back to v0.01. Seems to happen precisely when it "launches pkgver()". It even does it when i try to makepkg locally, even if it's totally not installed on the system. I have no idea of what's going on.
EDIT: I could fix it by removing the pkgver() function in the script. I'm not sure of what's its purpose but it fixes the problem. Also need to replace the version

can also confirm there's an issue with the pkgver function. I don't think it should be including the 'v' prepended to the version number

There's a serious problem with this package version. My updater says my version "0.01-1" is outdated and needs to be updated to "1-1". But when it does, the version number is not updated and it still asks for update.
