Update 2021.09.07.pr3 ---

Highlights: rsync support is implemented and (theoretically) fully functional, security is improved across the board, and a URL field has been added to the entry format.

In the future, the entry format should change very little. The current one should be compatible going forward, meaning rpass can now be used as a daily password manager. If the format does change again for any reason, I will make a converter script for existing entries.

Careful generating gpg keys from 'rpass config'. Currently, it defaults to a 2-year expiration date on the keys. The next update will change this prompt.

As usual, for more detailed patch notes, see the changelog at /usr/share/doc/rpass/changelog

Patch notes will likely be on Github, instead of here, from this point forward. I have not yet created the rpass Github repo, but I will comment a link here when I do.

Update 2021.09.02.pr2 ---

Folders have been entirely overhauled, bugs have been fixed, and new options have been added. A lot has changed, for more details see the changelog in /usr/share/doc/rpass/changelog.

Also, there is a typo in the help menu. Currently, 'rpass relocate' does nothing - this will be patched in the next update.

Next update will focus on rsync support.

rpass is under active development and is currently missing very critical features, including its namesake, rsync integration. An update with rsync integration, support for spaces in filenames, a new file format, a man page, a delete function, more secure editing, and various optimizations will be out in the coming days.

My longterm plans include a GUI app optimized for touch to use on devices like the Pinephone.
