The Windows installer migrates settings for you. For Linux it seems you need a couple of tweaks involving copying the "storage location" or re-pointing Resilio Sync to Bt Sync's storage location. This can be done in the rslsync.conf file. Only took a few minutes and worked fine for me. https://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/articles/211928186-Upgrade-on-dekstops-BitTorrent-Sync-Resilio-Sync-

On Windows, my Bittorrent Sync upgraded to Resilio Sync no problem, so I bet it'd be fine on Linux too. When I was migrating, I just used new directories just in case. It didn't take long to re-index everything, even on my big shares.

Has anyone migrated from btsync to rslsync and kept all their existing folders synced?

And here is a git format-patch to flip to sha256sum: https://ptpb.pw/wN__

I'd also suggest switching to sha256sum, because why not. And in the service file, how about type of 'simple' and using '--nodaemon' on the command line.

I'm in the same boat as zifnab on a raspi3. Had to update the SHA1 of rslsync.conf in the package, and then edit the /etc/rslsync.conf file to point to the correct PID.
