The package name should be corrected since the PKGBUILD installs the 0.99.467 version and not the 0.99.442 as indicated. New release (0.99.473) is out. To install it I think that changes in the PKGBUILD shoud be: pkgver=0.99.473 _x86md5=4b86b8fd3d501ae11ab84c059c0cb0ce _x64md5=4952d2e53fc9f63fec43c5b99f3b5a73

The installation works fine, but the command rstudio-bin produces no results. I don't know how to produce log or info to help with this, if you guide me I will post results here.

why do you leave the Qt libraries in? using system Qt works!

is qt5-svg really needed to install rstudio? I had a different AUR package installed [1] and it was working without the qt5-svg dependency. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rstudio-desktop-preview/

See @gokcen's comment below for a solution of the segfault problem. This PKGBUILD that implements the proposed solution that works for me (all props to @gokcen for discussing the issue with RStudio devel and following up with Qt): https://gist.github.com/chmue/7baeb5892f46c43b3000
