I'm a user of Manjaro Linux, which is a kind of ArchLinux as well. When I try to install the latest rstudio-server-git on Manjaro (for rstudio-server-bin is indeed out-of-date, losing support of plot module) with a command like: yaourt -S rstudio-server-git It solved all dependencies automatically, but finally raise an error as: Unrecognized platform manjaro; exiting now Could anybody add support for us Manjaro users? Or just update rstudio-server-bin? Thanks.

Update: Arch released openssl 1.1, relegating openssl 1.0 to a new package and location. I had to include two patches here to fix up the server. It should compile now. Changes: Arch just updated to openssl 1.1. Rstudio-server requires openssl 1.0. - Added wget to depends as per a user's request - Patched out a socketproxy stream bug as seen in rstudio-desktop-git - Patched to change includes from openssl to openssl-1.0 - Patched to change cmake files to link against openssl-1.0 - Version bump (of course) I assume they will soon update their SSL code, at which point I can drop these hacks. Sorry for any inconvenience, they don't make this particularly easy to maintain.

I may also change the service file because rstudio now ships their own. And yes I'd recommend reinstalling.

I'm adopting this package and currently uploading a fixed version. Basically, I'm not sure why /srv/rstudio was being used, and it breaks things. I also followed better packaging standards by moving all file creation to package() instead of in the .install file. The issue with using .install files is that pacman doesn't track those files. So when you upgrade or reinstall, it can easily break.

Please remove the file `rstudio-server-git-v0.99.636.r9.gfc78d32-1.src.tar.gz` from the git repo. Sources should not be part of AUR packages.

I think it is this line in the build file. mv "${pkgdir}/usr/lib/rstudio-server/www" "${pkgdir}/srv/rstudio" however moving /srv/rstudio/* to /lib/rstudio-server/www fixes the problem

I think the package is broken. After installation without errors the '/auth-sign-in' path is not found when I try to login.

I have just updated the package. Note that for users of R 3.2.0-1 there is a bug in the file Rinterface.h located in /usr/include/R/ (https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15899) and where it reads: int R_running_as_main_program; Should read: extern int R_running_as_main_program; This result in the following error while building rstudio-server: CMakeFiles/rsession.dir/SessionModuleContext.cpp.o:(.bss+0x0): multiple definition of `R_running_as_main_program' CMakeFiles/rsession.dir/SessionMain.cpp.o:(.bss+0x0): first defined here You may want to make this change to /usr/include/R/Rinterface.h manually, use a previous version of R, or wait for the repository package to be updated.
