Please use proper pkgver(), one base on data conflicts with AUR helpers rebuild trigers which are based upon pkgver() output. proper pkgver() pkgver() { cd ${_pkgname} git describe --long --tags | sed 's/\([^-]*-g\)/r\1/;s/-/./g' }

Changing cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/usr -Wno-dev ../ to cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/usr -DDETACH_KERNEL_DRIVER=ON -Wno-dev ../ in the PKGBUILD might save users a lot of trouble. Per http://git.osmocom.org/rtl-sdr/commit/?id=3e17ef2b55d80237da9766f3464ae784448a23e6 -DDETACH_KERNEL_DRIVER is turned off by default now. This will cause the following error when running many programs, including gqrx: "Kernel driver is active, or device is claimed by second instance of librtlsdr. In the first case, please either detach or blacklist the kernel module (dvb_usb_rtl28xxu), or enable automatic detaching at compile time." Compiling with support for automatic detachment would probably be a good idea for the majority of users.

Please add even the simplest pkgver() ---- pkgver() { date +%Y%m%d }

How would you move a -git package to [community]? If you want to make a non-git (= "rtl-sdr") package from it, you're welcome to do so. =)
