Thank you, @KierPrev. It seems that your rtl8188au repo is following the McMCCRU's. Maybe it is necessary to changing the AUR upstream URL into McMCCRU's? Or create a new AUR package for McMCCRU's with different name?

Now it should work even on 6.0 kernel. The https://github.com/McMCCRU/rtl8188gu/ is the same, but I provided the dkms file.

For future references, if the original repo updates to a newer kernel, and you want to use DKMS, just put this file https://github.com/KierPrev/rtl8188gu/blob/master/dkms.conf on the folder, and use

sudo dkms install .

Seems the maintainer is not maintaining the package actively and I just use the code in https://github.com/McMCCRU/rtl8188gu/ to build it directly.

@hvitoi I managed to build a driver with patches for the new kernel version, but it doesn't work after connecting and prints the following errors in the kernel log:

Hi @KierPrev, I can compile the upstream successfully, but fails to compile this package with dkms

@namilantu Thank you for notifying! It is fixed now for 5.18 kernel I've written a cronjob to automatically fetch from the upstream (the advantage of my repo is AUR + DKMS). So, everything should be done automatically by now

Hi @KierPrev, Seems the dkms install failed again in the latest kernel and the upstream has fixed the issue, would you please check?
