there seams to be an oficial driver? https://www.edimax.com/edimax/mw/cufiles/files/download/Driver_Utility/EW-7811UTC_UAC_DAC_USC_Linux_Driver_1.0.2.4.zip

Hi Guys I have been testing this version of the driver will multiple APs. We have noticed a slow degradation on DL throughout as we add the number of APs, the UL throughput is not affected. For example with 1 AP I get 100 mbps (on a 20 mhz channel). With 6 APs active I only get 30 mbps (even although there is nothing happening on the other APs). Has anyone else noticed this issue (Kernel 4.14) Thanks Arthur

I have now pulled the changes from Gordboy. Many thanks!

@zebulon and @Darnor

Made change adding vendor command policy as suggested by @Darnor, and another minor compiler warning fix.

Tested on kernel 5.3rc7 and all is good thus far.

Source is now ready to fork.

Doesn't work with 5.3rc3.d0804.ge21a712 on Manjaro.

Getting a kernel stack trace:

here: https://github.com/zebulon2/rtl8812au-driver-5.2.20/blob/master/os_dep/linux/os_intfs.c#L1602

and finally here: https://github.com/zebulon2/rtl8812au-driver-5.2.20/blob/master/os_dep/linux/os_intfs.c#L3001

Looking at git blame the following commit seems to be the culprit:

https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/901bb9891855164fdcfcfdd9c3d25bcc800d3f5b

I would try to fix it myself but I currently don't have enough time, so hopefully someone (maybe @gordboy or @zebulon) can patch it.

@astewartau: can you please send the log with the error message, and take care you are using the latest git sources.

This does not appear to be building for linux 5.2.1 and 5.2.2!
