@samwwjd710 The USB ID is customizable by the vendors, and if your manufacturer change it to something else it has to be added to the driver whitelist. Which what I did after you post. If you are not using DKMS, it just "make ; sudo make install ; sudo modprobe 88x2bu"

I had tried the one you updated on September 21st.
Am I doing something wrong? Did I mess up your driver when I compiled and modprobe my own? Is there a command I need to run after installing your AUR package driver that will change it over or something?
I'm trying again today but I don't have a ton of hope. :)

Maybe you can help? I had been using this https://github.com/EntropicEffect/rtl8822bu.git driver since Kubuntu 18.10 before I switched to using Manjaro. It worked up through 4.19 kernel but now it isn't working on 5.2 or 5.3 any of them. So when manjaro updates my wifi borks! I keep rolling back to kernel 4.19 but I'd like to used your driver and the newer kernel if I can figure out why that isn't working... I have a backup wifi that works plug and play on most linux but it's slow like 240kbps tops. lol
I tried using this instead, and I installed it from the package manager.. but it wont work for me.
I tried going in to the folder '/usr/src/rtl88x2bu-5.6.1.r30.20fba52/' and doing a >make >sudo make install >modprobe 88x2bu ... kinda like I used to do with the older driver..
Maybe you can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I'd like to use the latest kernel, with this driver..
Maybe this is the wrong driver for me. or I'm using wrong commands... I have a DWA 182 Revision D1 or Dlink ac1200 rev d1. It has a rtl8812bu chipset.

@lucaskfreitas dmesg should shows the error. But try use "sudo mkinitcpio -P" and reboot first.

Hello, updating to version 5.6.1.r30.20fba52-1 did not solve the kernel 5.3 problem for me. There are no error messages, and it apparently has installed successfully, but the wifi dongle isn't recognized. In previous versions, it has worked out-of-the-box. Is there some way for me to check what went wrong?

@said What error you got? I can build it in 5.3, but got "RTW: ERROR [HALMAC][ERR]Dump efuse in suspend" when use it.

If you encountered any problems, set debug log use
echo 5 > /proc/net/rtl88x2bu/log_levelormodprobe 88x2bu rtw_drv_log_level=5, and post your dmesg and network managers logs to https://pastebin.com/ .
