So I tried again but now it stopped after only a few seconds:

The compiling takes "ages" on my elderly Ryzen 2200G APU w 2x16 GB RAM and SSD. So wouldn't mind - if possible - the package could be placed in EXTRAS..

For me it stopped at: ==> Validating source files with sha512sums...

rtt-rstudio-eula.html ... FAILED

rtt-rstudio-usage-recovery-manual.pdf ... FAILED

==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

can anyone install it and check it everything working fine I busy right now

richardpratt commented on 2023-10-22 22:07 (UTC)

the checksum for the manual is still failing; and I am struggling to work out how to edit the build file to comment it out - apologies for my stupidity

bezerkk commented on 2023-10-18 17:12 (UTC)

Would be great if you had the time to update to latest version, thanx.

Cynthetika commented on 2022-10-10 12:17 (UTC)

No problem. Instead of updating the checksum, I might either exclude it from the AUR package altogether or just include the source PDF file itself in the AUR Git repository so it won't change as often (maybe only with updates to the actual binaries - I haven't looked at what changed yet). I don't think technically the latter is permitted, though...

I personally didn't use it after all as I found other open-source software that did the same job* (*for my use case). With that in mind, can anyone tell me if they have found the recovery manual useful and/or what me to keep it included in the package (whether updating the checksum or including it somewhere statically such as this AUR repository)?

...or maybe as a separate package? I have doubts that it's needed, but I don't want to remove it now I've added it if even one person finds it helpful.

This fails checksum for the manual

@Cynthetika Thanks for reply and I will surely inform you as I constantly use this software

Cynthetika commented on 2022-09-22 14:31 (UTC)

Ah, whoops. This package is now also out of date anyhow, so I'll adjust it quickly now and push the updated commit in a minute or two...

I should admit - I never actually use this software for anything other than verifying the results of alternative open-source utilities (rarely even then), so I apologise in advance for any tardiness in the future; I'm not fond of closed-source software.

That said - I obviously made this PKGBUILD for a reason; it does have some use. If someone needs this and notices I have not updated it after several days again, flag it as out of date and I will update it when I have enough time spare.
