New dependency ruby-json_schema (with underline) is needed starting with 4.9.9 (I installed via pacgem). Current is 4.9.10.

$ nanoc /usr/lib/ruby/2.4.0/rubygems/dependency.rb:308:in `to_specs': Could not find 'addressable' (~> 2.5) among 33 total gem(s) (Gem::MissingSpecError)

snqlby commented on 2017-12-03 07:32 (UTC)

It requires additional dependencies. Could you add the following: ruby-hamster ruby-ref ruby-ddplugin

Please update (and remove my comments) or promote me as a co-maintainer ;)

I no longer use Nanoc, and cannot therefore claim to be a reasonable maintainer for this package. Disowning.

jaudet commented on 2015-10-11 18:16 (UTC)

I've updated nanoc from version 3.8.0 to 4.0.0rc3. The ruby-listen and ruby-rack optdepends have been dropped. They provided the deprecated `nanoc watch` and `nanoc autocompile` commands in version 3.8.0, and both commands have been dropped completely in version 4.x. These two commands have been replaced by the "guard" command. See: * https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ruby-guard-nanoc/ * https://github.com/guard/guard-nanoc Nanoc 4 brings significant changes. For help upgrading, see the Nanoc 4 upgrade guide: http://v4.nanoc.ws/doc/nanoc-4-upgrade-guide/ If you are unable to upgrade at this time and want to continue using nanoc 3.x, please see the commit history for this package. I cleaned up the 3.8.0 package right before updating to version 4.0.0rc3.

jaudet commented on 2015-09-30 17:07 (UTC)

I'll definitely do that! I've been procrastinating on finally making a nanoc3 package and updating this one to version 4.x. Thanks. :)

carstene1ns commented on 2015-09-27 09:39 (UTC)

Next time you update the package (maybe when 4.0 finally gets released *hint* *hint* :D), please remove 'ruby-listen' from optdepends. It has been deprecated for a while (use 'ruby-guard-nanoc' instead). Thanks!

jaudet commented on 2014-08-03 22:50 (UTC)

*sigh* That's definitely my fault. Sorry for failing to fix this obvious issue, carstene1ns, and thanks for giving me a heads up. I'll get on this, now that I'm back from vacation.

carstene1ns commented on 2014-08-01 00:44 (UTC)

The optdep 'ruby-adsf' should be 'adsf' now. When you rename packages, please also fix your packages. Thanks!

jaudet commented on 2014-06-19 00:29 (UTC)

Yes, I understand that ruby-nanoc is already in the AUR. I uploaded this package today so that ruby-nanoc can be merged into this package. According to the Wiki, "nanoc" is the more appropriate package name. I am not going to update ruby-nanoc, as I have submitted a request to the aur-general mailing list to have that package merged into this one.

cedeel commented on 2014-06-19 00:27 (UTC)

Package ruby-nanoc is already in AUR.

jaudet commented on 2014-04-20 18:07 (UTC)

This package depends on ruby-colored indirectly via ruby-cri.

kevincox commented on 2014-04-20 13:27 (UTC)

I believe this should depend on ruby-colored.

jaudet commented on 2013-04-13 20:20 (UTC)

Ach, my bad. No, \ isn't new in pacman. \ is a bash operator that allows you to join two lines, and it shouldn't cause any harm -- I tested the resultant package, and it installs just fine. Even so, \ shouldn't be there, and I'll strip it out. Thanks for finding this.

Lucky commented on 2013-04-13 15:34 (UTC)

optdepends=( "ruby-adsf: Provides 'nanoc view' command." \ "ruby-listen: Provides 'nanoc watch' command." ) should be: optdepends=("ruby-adsf: Provides 'nanoc view' command." "ruby-listen: Provides 'nanoc watch' command.") or optdepends=( "ruby-adsf: Provides 'nanoc view' command." "ruby-listen: Provides 'nanoc watch' command." ) Or is \ new in pacman 4.1?

jaudet commented on 2013-04-13 15:02 (UTC)

Added a new optdepend. ruby-listen provides the 'nanoc watch' command.

Lucky commented on 2013-04-02 17:32 (UTC)

- update package (thanks Ichimonji10) - disown package - Ichimonji10 adopt this package so he is the new Maintainer

jaudet commented on 2013-04-01 16:12 (UTC)

Added an optdepends=(...) array. http://pastebin.com/cbKdUmCr

Lucky commented on 2012-05-05 05:43 (UTC)

pls upgrade to the new ruby-nanoc package and give feedback if its works. I think you need no ruby-nanoc3 package anymore, because is merged to the ruby-nanoc package. - Dropped the “3” suffix on nanoc3/Nanoc3 - Removed bin/nanoc3 (use nanoc3 gem if you want it) If feedback is positive i will merge this package with ruby-nanoc.

http://nanoc.stoneship.org/release-notes/ 3.3.6 is the latest version

kazuo commented on 2011-12-09 23:18 (UTC)

What about changing description to something like "Wrapper for different nanoc versions."

kazuo commented on 2011-12-09 22:29 (UTC)

Ohh I see upstream gem is make like this. Sorry for the confusion.

kazuo commented on 2011-12-09 22:27 (UTC)

why ruby-nanoc depends on ruby-nanoc3. And can you explain what is the difference between this package and ruby-nanoc3?

commented on 2011-08-26 18:42 (UTC)

why is there a 'ruby-nanoc3' and a 'ruby-nanoc'?

Just need to change pkgver=3.1.7 and md5sums=("3e6a74cf8e8be69378b1824185746648") for the newest version.
