FWIW this package was orphan and I needed it for an Emacs plugin and decided to adopt it and bump it only ...any better packaging approach is more than welcome!

Orphaning. I no longer use this package myself, am less familiar with the Ruby ecosystem than I used to be, and enjoy the Ruby ecosystem less than I used to.
