@jbirdjavi Modifying that file worked for me too. However, an alternative way to fix it is to install jre7-openjdk-headless-infinality from AUR (or probably jre7-openjdk-headless-fontfix if you aren't using infinality fonts). This allowed me to keep /opt/rubymine/bin/rubymine64.vmoptions as default, and hence the fonts look slightly better.

@kidoz That sort of works... Except I had to change it in /opt/rubymine/bin/rubymine64.vmoptions since it was already set to the "lcd" value in that file, so I'm guessing that overrode what was already in the environment variable.

@jbirdjavi Try this: "joow wrote: @mhelvens I have the same issue with another JetBrains product (Intellij IDEA). It looks like it is only happening since latest OpenJDK update (7u60). Adding "export _JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=on" to /etc/profile.d/jre.sh fixed the issue when starting the application via the desktop icon."

I had an issue with Rubymine not displaying text correctly after upgrading to openjdk7_u60. Not sure if it's an Arch specific issue or a Rubymine issue. Regardless, I downgraded to the following packages to get it working correctly again: jre7-openjdk-headless-7.u55_2.4.7-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz jre7-openjdk-7.u55_2.4.7-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz jdk7-openjdk-7.u55_2.4.7-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz giflib-5.0.6-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

May be: _pkgver=${pkgver%??} not work in your shell.
