The GUI label is intentionally 2.2.4, this is related to it being a Linux-only launcher update, sorry if this causes any confusion

Note: It is important to keep PGP signature verification enabled, because this PKGBUILD does not verify sha256sums due to Jagex frequently releasing rebuilds with the same version number.

Don't forget to import the Jagex PGP key if installing for the first time:

gpg --keyserver hkps://keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key AAC9264309E4D717441DB9527373B12CE03BEB4B

I haven't been playing for a while, so unsure when this started, but I'm unable to launch the game at the moment and get the following output when launching in console: /usr/share/games/runescape-launcher/runescape: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3: no version information available (required by /usr/share/games/runescape-launcher/runescape) Vector smash protection is enabled. Vector smash protection is enabled. I have tried using OpenJDK 7 and 8, updating curl and libcurl-compat to no avail. Anyone know what's going on?

RE: sha256sums It will always be incorrect after game update, that's how their scripts work. What actually changes is not the launcher (which is packaged here) but the game client (which is downloaded later by the launcher). What it means about this package: 1) $pkgrel will not be bumped with each such update. 2) If you have the package already installed, you don't need to upgrade, unless I bump the version. 3) If you are installing it for the first time and checksum is wrong, you can use my update checker script (also pinned) to fetch the new checksum. 4) $_pkgbump hack will be removed from the PKGBUILD (sorry z3ntu, it's not worth it). 5) I'm planning to automate the sha256sums update, meanwhile I'll be updating it manually when I have the time.

Hey, apparently the SHA256sum is incorrect?

pls update sha256sum to 4bc8217e78e51a1cb8408ed8faa4f5e394a20301ccd99be317ca845a305188cd

i think it needs at least opengl 3.0 you can emulate it with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 but will be super slow

Has Jagex has updated their package? ==> Validating source_x86_64 files with sha256sums... runescape-launcher_2.2.2-4_amd64.deb ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build .

Umlauted characters (å, ä, ö, ü, etc.) doesn't seem to work – when typed – in chat for me. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

@ivan_p thanks for doing the thing with the new filename :)
