I tested locally:

$ makepkg -s
...
==> Validating source files with sha256sums...
    rustfs-1.0.0-beta.8.tar.gz ... Passed
    console-0.1.8.tar.gz ... Passed
==> Removing existing $srcdir/ directory...
$ rm rustfs-1.0.0-beta.8.tar.gz
$ makepkg -s
...
==> Validating source files with sha256sums...
    rustfs-1.0.0-beta.8.tar.gz ... Failed
    console-0.1.8.tar.gz ... Passed
==> Removing existing $srcdir/ directory...

maybe rustfs-1.0.0-beta.8.tar.gz was updated after I updated PKGBUILD.
