It's updated. Sorry for the delay...

luolimao commented on 2013-04-14 22:11

Can you please renamed build() to package(), since pacman 4.1 won't build this without that change? Also, could you use desktop-file-install and add an install file to update the desktop database?

kralyk commented on 2012-12-27 20:15

Ok, thanks, updated...

Instead of
unzip samorost2_linux.zip -d ${pkgdir}/usr/share/samorost2/
can you use
bsdtar -xf samorost2_linux.zip -C $pkgdir/usr/share/samorost2/
or similar? Unzip requires an extra package, while bsdtar is part of libarchive, which is a dependency of pacman, and therefore standard on all Arch installs. Then you can also remove the unzip dependency.

@Kppqju77: I had it sometimes under certain circumstances. But I don't remember with which combination of which browser and flash versions it worked.

Do anyone else have a bug at the end if the "Taxi" screen?
For me the game freezes (under chromium & firefox)...

Hi cyberpatrol,

Thanks for the hint, I was being too impatient.

Too bad I did not configure my yaourt to display ALL commentaries.

@MajorTalon: Please, read kralyk's first comment, and have a look at the game's website.

won't build:
============

==> Fetching sources...
==> ERROR: samorost2_linux.zip has not be found in working directory and is not an URL.
==> ERROR: Makepkg could not build samorost2.

=> flagged out of date

kralyk commented on 2010-09-07 22:34

ok, fixed. I will also update the .desktop with an icon when I have some time...

jose1711 commented on 2010-09-04 21:15

np, please also fix Categories= inside the .desktop file. Games is not correct, it should read just Game, maybe it's a good idea to add also LogicGame (see http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html)

kralyk commented on 2010-09-04 21:08

Thanks for noticing me jose, package updated.

I haven't seen any license file, but it's a commercial game. So 'custom' or 'custom:commercial' fits better than 'unknown'. See the PKGBUILDs for other commercial software. Most of them use 'custom'. But I'm not completely sure what to use there for commercial software.

kralyk commented on 2010-06-09 13:18

Yeah its a browser-issue. I don't see it in other browsers too...
As to the license field... In fact, I wasn't able to find any license of Samorost 2 anywhere
(apart from website usage terms), have you? So I think 'unknown' is applicable for now...

Anonymous comment on 2010-06-09 10:33

I'd also suggest to set just license=('custom') instead of license=('unknown/custom') or license=('custom:commercial') or something. I'm not quite sure about the correct policy with commercial licenses.

I don't see this character when I open it in my browers. I'd guess it's probably a character encoding issue with your browser or something like that.

kralyk commented on 2010-06-09 07:05

Ok, done.
Funny thing is, that if you click PKGBUILD above, there is some extra stray character - 'Â'
on the 4th line from the end. It was not there in my PKGBUILD, nor in the src archive I uploaded.
And when you download the tarball, its not there either. Very strange.

Wouldn't $pkgver=1 or $pkgver=1.0 be better? The 2 in Samorost 2 isn't the version number, it's just the successor of Samorost 1.

Hi,
just uploaded this package, please feel free to test.
Also please note that the 'samorost2_linux.zip' file is missing on purpose,
as the game is not free. However, there is a public demo which spans half of
the full game - see the website linked above.

In order to install this, you have to copy the 'samorost2_linux.zip' file (which you downloaded when
you have bought the game) in to the building directory.

Enjoy ;-)
