This is the latest version of the 'Magician' (v2.0) for Samsung Enterprise SSD PM863 and SM863 Series.
For Samsung Consumer SSDs the only currently available version for Linux is v1.0 For that please use AUR-package 'samsung_magician-consumer-ssd'

@mrlamud, please have a look at the comments on the new package. @siglot has the impression that your binary is different in size from the version he used to have. Can you please comment on that?:

Thank you for the source files!

I'll keep this one here for v2.0 which is the officially newest from Samsung directly.

Whatever you want but just inform member in the comment which package is for which line of SSD.

In my opinion, I would suggest the packages name should be like:

"Samsung_magician_consumerSSD" for version 1.0 and,
"Samsung_magician_enterpriseSSD" for version 2 and up.

Thanks! :) I'm wondering: Since this package here was out-of-order for a while already, maybe it will be best to use the v1.0 source for this one here and create a new "samsung_magician_pro" for the v2.0 source?

sounds good! Can you provide them online? Maybe via mediafire / dropbox / googledrive or the likes? sourceforge will not work so well for a package source, often it's just too slow.

oberon2007,

I got Magician V1.0 both 32&64 source files.
Let's me know if you would like to have them.

See my other comment please! I don't have a source for an older version! ;)

It will be good if you could maintain Magician DC Version 1.0 in a separate package. So member who uses SS consumer version still be benefit from this software and don't have to blacklist this package update.

Thanks.
