Fix by copying depends and makedepends from extra/sane.

$srcdir can contain spaces and should be guarded by quotes.

Would be worth reviewing and updating rest of package for additional changes.

I am willing to fix and clean up this package if made comaintainer.

Please change pkgver() to use git describe --long --tags | sed 's/\([^-]*-g\)/r\1/;s/-/./g' instead of the date of the last commit.

  • Commit dates can be out of order.
  • Version will be comparable to the release versions. 1.1.1.r333.gb2a5a41be is 333 commits after release 1.1.1.

remove patch -Np1 -i ${srcdir}/network.patch from PKGBUILD, works for me

I get an error when trying to install:

I think that the patch should be updated.

looks like the backend project switched to autotools for building and does not provide the intermediate build artifacts via repository.
