Hi aksr,
don't know what this error means.
Maybe you should ask the project owner
=> https://github.com/sleuthkit/scalpel/

Hi, I get this error:
http://privatepaste.com/7bef511000

Ok thanks for the info.
Now it should work.

Sorry, doesn't install:
pacaur -S scalpel-git
:: Could not read scalpel-git PKGBUILD: badly packaged tarball

Please use 'makepkg -S' before submitting (see https://github.com/Spyhawk/pacaur/issues/113).

willemw commented on 2014-05-24 10:44

To be correct, this package should be called scalpel-git (or it should download a specific version of scalpel).

m3tamantra commented on 2014-05-24 10:28

Thanks again willemw for having an eye on that package.
I followed your suggestions, the new PKGBUILD is online.

cd in pkgver() is incorrect.

Try this, if you want:
Remove the patch (should also not be in build()) and use this instead:
pkgver() {
cd "$srcdir/${pkgname}"
printf "r%s.%s" "$(git rev-list --count HEAD)" "$(git rev-parse --short HEAD)"
}

prepare() {
cd "${srcdir}/${pkgname}"
sed -i 's|#define SCALPEL_DEFAULT_CONFIG_FILE "scalpel.conf"|#define SCALPEL_DEFAULT_CONFIG_FILE "/etc/scalpel/scalpel.conf"|' src/scalpel.h
}

Hi Dennis,

thank you for the notification!
Have you manage to build the latest master branch?
I get "config.status: error: cannot find input file: `Makefile.in'"
whene I run ./configure. Haven't done much research yet ^^

UPDATE: Created a new issue
https://github.com/sleuthkit/scalpel/issues/2
