I am not using KDE myself but you could try to add the following lines to the desktop file: StartupNotify=true StartupWMClass=org.scenicview.ScenicView Other than that I don't think there are any differences to the tvbrowser package. If it works I will push a new version.

thanks! one issue left. but i think that is related to kde rather than your PKGBUILD. i'm using kde, if i create a launcher for scenic-view it says only java as program name and it does not work. That is no problem, because you can drag it directly to the launcher bar and it will work. EDIT: i've tried it with tvbrowser and it worked as it should. so it must be something in the desktop file you provide

I have added a desktop icon. Please check if it works for you. Sadly, the magnifying glass with the graph is not available without the lettering which is why I'm using the generic variant.
