This package could benefit from a systemd service file like the following: [Unit] Description=schedtoold service [Service] Type=forking PIDFile=/var/run/schedtoold.pid User=root ExecStart=/usr/bin/schedtoold -p /var/run/schedtoold.pid ExecStop=/bin/kill -15 $MAINPID [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
